The Duchess of Cambridge’s sailing team fell to her husband’s team during the royal couple’s inaugural King’s Cup Sailing Regatta. Kate Middleton and Prince William started the philanthropic sailing event where each boat competes for its charity of choice.

Not only was the event a good cause, but it was also a complete royal family affair! The Duke and Duchess were cheered on by their three children, Princess Charlotte, Prince George, and Prince Louis, as they watched from a spectator boat with their grandparents.
This year, Prince William’s team beat Kate’s since she was disqualified for leaving the starting line a bit too early. But can we just talk about how incredible she makes a sailing outfit look?!
Kate made a serious case for activewear, as she opted for a sporty jacket, crisp white sneakers, a blue baseball cap, and black athletic shorts. The Duchess’s golden tan and toned legs were on full display!
While she may not have left this year’s race with a victory, her winning sartorial choices shone through in her choice of outfit for the day’s festivities.
