Katy Perry might be navigating some personal challenges, but she’s proving she can still keep her cool in style.
The pop star left fans in awe on Instagram after stepping out in a breathtaking lavender maxi dress. The curve-hugging gown shimmered beautifully and featured a chic attached scarf tied elegantly around her neck.
The mother of one completed the look with Perspex heels, silver drop earrings, and sleek chrome metallic nails, making the whole ensemble effortlessly glamorous. See the look here!
Perry captioned the post with a pink ribbon, and fans flocked to the comment section to rave over her look.
“Sis has been serving nonstop lately,” said one fan. A second wrote, “Omg I can’t even deal,” along with a heart emoji.
The former American Idol judge has been making headlines for multiple reasons. She’s currently on tour in Australia, she recently split from her partner of nine years, Orlando Bloom, and she was recently spotted going on dates with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, which already fizzled out, according to sources.
However, another headache on her plate is her years-long legal real estate battle with an elderly veteran suffering from Huntington’s disease.
Carl Westcott, an 85-year-old disabled U.S. Army veteran and founder of 1-800-Flowers, filed a lawsuit in 2020 against Katy’s business manager, Bernie Gudvi, who represented the singer in her July 2020 purchase of a Santa Barbara–area mansion.
The dispute stemmed from Westcott’s attempt to back out of the $15M deal to sell his 8.9-acre estate, which he had only bought two months earlier for about $11M. He argued at the time that he should be allowed to rescind the contract, claiming he “lacked capacity” to sign due to a recent surgery and an ongoing brain disorder.
Craig Weiner, a partner in Blank Rome’s Business Litigation Group, emphasized that the “Woman’s World” singer’s credibility is likely to come under scrutiny during her testimony.
“The impact of Katy’s trial testimony will in large part rest on her credibility and ability to tell her side of the events in a clear and believable manner. As a litigant and celebrity, she should expect that the judge as trier of fact will pay close attention to the matter and possibly ask their own questions,” he explained to Fox News Digital.
“If she comes across as likable and truthful, her case will be helped. If she comes across as dislikeable, not treating the tribunal with the proper respect, or not being truthful, she should expect that it will hurt her case.”
