Kim Kardashian has just put up two pairs of Yeezy heels for sale on Kardashian Kloset, the somewhat controversial website owned by the famous family which enables them to resell some of their old and unwanted items. (FYI, the Kardashians have come under fire a few times for selling things at super-inflated prices, including pieces that were actually gifts from brands! Yikes!)
Forbes may have estimated that the 41-year-old KKW Beauty and SKIMS founder is worth $1 Billion, but that doesn’t mean that the mom-of-four doesn’t like making a little bit of extra money when she can. Especially if it also goes hand in hand with putting her divorce behind her!
The two heels in question are identical pairs of black mesh mules from her ex-husband's fashion brand in US size 6-6.5, with one pair listed at $375 as the original box is included, and the other one at the slightly reduced price of $350 as it comes without the box. Naturally, social media was rife with disapproving comments from fans who condemned the billionaire businesswoman for selling them at such a high price when it is extremely likely that she got them for free.
"Selling stuff you’ve gotten for free when you’re already a 'billionaire' is so GROSS," someone wrote on Reddit. "Not Kim out here selling her Yeezy sandals I can’t lmao," another added. Someone else referenced Kim's now infamous comment about people not wanting to work, writing, "Nobody wants to work these days, just sell the clothes you were gifted!" Interestingly, Kim did actually get some praise from some of her fans, who said it was a "smart" decision. "It’s another stream of income," a Reddit user wrote, adding, "It’s actually a pretty smart business idea. They’re billionaires for a reason."
