Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are officially engaged after just eight months of dating – and we couldn’t be happier for them!
The 42-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has been dating the 45-year-old Blink 182 drummer since January this year – they went Instagram official just one month later – although they had been friends for years. Insiders even revealed that Travis had a huge crush on Kourtney for many years before they got together – how cute!

Barker really pulled out all the stops for the super-romantic proposal, as he popped the question just before sunset on the beach at the Rosewood Miramar hotel in Montecito, California on Sunday October 17th. Kardashian posted some pictures of the proposal on her Instagram account shortly after it happened, and we can confirm that it looked like something straight out of a fairytale! “forever @travisbarker,” she captioned the post.
The proposal was evidently a family affair, as several of the Kardashians were said to be in attendance, including Kourt’s sister, Khloe Kardashian and her on/off boyfriend – and the father to her three-year-old daughter, True – Tristan Thompson. “Kourtney looked very surprised to see Khloe and Tristan there,” an eye-witness reportedly told E! News. “Travis escorted Kourtney down to the beach, where he had red and white florals set up in the shape of a heart. It looked very romantic. I could see Kourtney smiling from ear to ear and put her hand over her mouth looking surprised. The family cheered for them and went back into the hotel.”

Reports also go on to claim that Kourt's mom, Kris Jenner, and her boyfriend Corey Gamble were also at the hotel, who then joined the newly-engaged couple for dinner following the proposal. E!'s source also went on to say that Kourtney "had no idea" Travis was planning to propose to her, adding, "She teared up and couldn't stop saying, 'I love you.'" This is even more proof that Keeping Up with the Kardashians clearly ended too soon, because we would have given anything to see this magical moment on the show!
Although Kim Kardashian wasn’t in attendance, she was still very involved in her sister's celebration, as she was among the many people who shared congratulatory messages on social media, along with unseen pictures that Kourtney hadn't yet shared. Kim shared one of the most important pictures of the night – i.e. the engagement ring, so we are eternally grateful for that. We don’t have any more details about the ring at the moment, other than the fact that it is a blinding, gargantuan diamond that does NOT go unnoticed – especially on Kourtney's delicate fingers. It might just be one of the most beautiful celebrity rings we’ve ever seen!
We can't wait to see Kourtney finally walk down the aisle as a bride, as this will be her very first marriage. Travis was previously married to Melissa Kennedy from 2001 to 2002, and then to Shanna Moakler from 2004 to 2008. He shares two children with Moakler – 18-year-old son Landon Asher, and 15-year-old daughter Alabama Luella. Kourtney shares three children with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick – 11-year-old son, Mason, 9-year-old daughter, Penelope, and 6-year-old son Reign.
