Kristi Noem has certainly been going through a lot over the last few weeks, and the internet is not ready to let her live it down.
A lot of it started at the end of last month, when the politician was fired from her role as the Secretary of Homeland Security by President Donald Trump, who had previously championed her efforts. Though Kristi, who has been dubbed as "ICE Barbie," faced months of backlash over her work in carrying out the president's controversial immigration policies, reporters noted that the final straw was her lying about a $220M advertising campaign that he allegedly believed featured too much of her.
Now, she's dealing with the fallout of her husband, Bryan Noem's, crossdressing scandal, after it was revealed that he had secretly been participating in questionable activity in online chatrooms. Additionally, photos of him wearing women's pants and prosthetic breasts were unearthed in the process. The scandal reportedly had her feeling "blindsided," and intensified as her husband communicated to one of the models he was secretly talking to that she was having an affair with one of her advisors, Corey Lewandowski.

In numerous photos of her on the job, speaking to the press, meeting with personnel and ICE agents, Kristi could be seen wearing military-type outfits, from security vests to camo, and more. On social media platforms like Reddit, users called out her wardrobe, especially since she wasn't 'on duty.'
"She has a habit of dressing up in ridiculous military-style gear during public appearances," commented a user. "It feels like cosplay most of the time."
