Leonardo DiCaprio may be an Oscar-winning actor, but he is a controversial – and sometimes hypocritical – one at that!
The self-proclaimed activist has recently been slammed as a hypocrite for boarding Jeff Bezos‘ super yacht in Ibiza, and also faced backlash for saying he is “emotionally 32” instead of 50, his actual age.
And he has just caused a stir again, this time for an inappropriate and “ridiculous,” to quote one social media user, fashion accessory…

Leonardo DiCaprio Causes A Stir For Wearing A Baseball Cap With A Tux
When the planet-conscious actor and his 27-year-old model girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti attended the Gala One Summer Dinner at the ultra-exclusive Golf Club Saint-Tropez back in July, the couple dressed for the occasion in super-glamorous attire.
The Italian model flaunted her enviable figure in a slinky black and white dress, while the Wolf of Wall Street actor donned a chic black tux. So far so good… until we get to the actor’s black baseball cap!
DiCaprio has already faced backlash for wearing his baseball cap at inappropriate events, including Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez‘s lavish wedding in Italy. And fans once again didn’t hesitate to call him out for wearing it in Saint Tropez too!

Internet Reactions
Fans had many thoughts and theories about Leo’s desire to wear a baseball cap. “He’s definitely losing his hair or he just had hair transplant and hiding it,” speculated one fan on an Instagram video, although a second didn’t agree, replying: “Nah he does it because he thinks he’s incognito with it on. But ironically it makes him more conspicuous.” “Nah it’s to cover his eyes from the camera,” thought a third.
“Why can’t he just be normal? No one cares it’s you Leonardo,” slammed a fourth. “Why is he hiding out under that baseball cap? So weird,” criticized a fifth. “Why does he come to this kind of party if he doesn’t want to be recognized?” asked a sixth, as a seventh agreed, adding: “If you don’t want to be seen or made money with your beautiful face, don’t leave home!”
“If you don’t want to be seen, don’t go. You can be a recluse, it’s perfectly fine,” concurred an eighth, as a ninth exclaimed: “That hat looks ridiculous!” “Always ridiculous,” echoed a tenth, as an eleventh declared: “Leonardo. Take off your hat. You’re boring.” Yikes – social media has spoken!
