Lindsay Lohan is not only making an acting/ film comeback, but also a style one, too! The Freaky Friday alum, 36, graced her first red carpet in years for the New York City screening of her upcoming Netflix rom-com, Falling for Christmas last week, and broke the internet in the process. Lohan made a stunning appearance at the event in a sheer, long-sleeved, full-length, beaded Valentino gown that featured shimmering appliqué detailing and a gorgeous floral print.

Lohan’s Glistening Valentino Look & Red Carpet Return
The Mean Girls actress stepped out in silver peep-toe pumps and accessorized her curve-hugging, see-through dress with a matching purse, and dazzled up her look even more with shiny rings and sparking diamond stud earrings. Lohan tied her signature long red tresses into a slicked-back, elegant high ponytail and brought her husband, Bader Shammas as her date (they tied the knot earlier this summer). As for her makeup look, Lohan went for a fiery smokey eye, sky-high lashes, highlighted cheekbones, a dab of rosy blush, and a glossy pink lip to pull it all together.
Lohan’s latest project following a years-long hiatus, Falling for Christmas, also stars Glee‘s Chord Overstreet, and its plot centers around a newly-engaged heiress who suffers from a skiing accident days before Christmas, and is later diagnosed with amnesia. Lohan’s character ultimately finds herself being cared by a handsome cabin owner (played by Overstreet) and his daughter.

In several posts for her 11.6 million followers, Lohan shared her ensemble for the premiere, as well as trailers to promote her new film (which is now able to stream via Netflix). Many of her fans headed to her comment section to not only hype up her look, but also praise her long-awaited return to acting. “I’m proud of you! I related so much to you as a young girl with parent trap and mean girls,” one user wrote, adding, “I know you went through a rough patch in your life and you bounced back with grace and style. You look amazing and I hope you’re proud of where you are in life.” Another deemed her “gorgeous” as someone else wrote that she was “killing it” in the Valentino dress.
Lohan’s famous friends also left comments of support under her recent Instagram posts, with Jamie Lee Curtis writing, “Hey there GORGEY GIRL” and Paris Hilton leaving a heart-eyes emoji. Rita Ora added, “Wow!” with a raised hands emoji to congratulate Lohan.

Lohan’s Upcoming Projects
Lohan also signed on to another future Netflix film called Irish Wish, a fantasy rom-com set for a release in 2023. According to Variety, the plot is as follows; “The movie centers on Lohan’s character Maddie, who has to put aside her feelings when the love of her life gets engaged to another woman… who happens to be her best friend. Days before the couple is set to marry in Ireland, Maddie makes a spontaneous wish for true love, only to wake up as the bride-to-be. With her dream seeming to come true, Maddie soon realizes that her real soulmate is someone else entirely.”
