A Reddit Post Goes Viral After A McDonald's Customer Calls The Restaurant A 'Scam' Over An Expensive McNugget Meal
We are now living in a time where, for many Americans, fast food is becoming more of a special treat than it is a quick and cheap meal, as most popular chains have experienced major price hikes over the last few years. McDonald's is one of the restaurants that customers believe has changed the most, as they've ditched some of their most inexpensive items and seemingly lowered the quality of their most famous ones.
A Reddit user recently created a viral post after having a bad experience at McDonald's while ordering a 10-piece Chicken McNugget meal, calling the restaurant "the biggest scam out there."
"I have avoided this place for, like, two years, then I got it last night," wrote the poster.
"[The] nuggets are so tiny, and the bill was $11.03 for a chicken nugget 10-piece and medium [fries]. Fast food is no longer cheap and convenient. [It was] overpriced garbage will never go back."
This story may sound surprising, given that the Chicken McNuggets are usually a hit, but other customers have had similar experiences.

McDonald's Customers Vent About The Restaurant's Food And Prices
As the post went viral on Reddit, more people began sharing their stories and thoughts on how McDonald's and their food have evolved over the years.
"McDonald's really forgot that their two qualities were that they were cheap and convenient," wrote a Reddit user under the viral post.
"Now they just keep jacking up the prices and keeping the bare minimum."
"Fast food is nearly as expensive as most dine-in establishments these days," added another.
"[You] might as well save your [money]. Put it towards easy-to-heat meals from grocery stores instead."
"Nothing on the menu is worth more than $1," a Reddit user wrote.
Other McDonald's customers revealed that they're now former consumers, with some expressing that they haven't gone there to eat in months and, in some cases, years, now that the food quality and sizes have gone downhill.
"McDonald's has priced out their main customer base," commented a former customer.
"They know it, too, and are scrambling. I haven't given them money in at least a year."
We'll be curious to see just how bad things get for the legendary fast-food restaurant as customers continue to get angrier and angrier about the state of their menu and its rising prices.
