Once fans had finished swooning over the dress and the jewelry on her wrist – her Cartier Tank Française watch, Cartier Love, bracelet and Jennifer Meyer mini-bezel tennis bracelet – their eyes landed on the Duchess of Sussex's finger, and they quickly noticed that she had a brand new ring in her collection!
The former Suits actress, 44, debuted a 14-karat gold Queen Water Drop Moonstone ring from one of her go-to jewelers: Los Angeles–based brand, Logan Hollowell. Retailing at $4,195, the piece features a pear-shaped moonstone surrounded by a halo of white diamonds.
It's quite stunning to say the least – and the title of the ring is quite interesting given Meghan's history with the royal family. Is it a subtle nod to still being a royal? Is it a sign that she wants herself and Prince Harry to rejoin the royal family in a senior royal capacity again? Or is it perhaps a tongue-in-cheek claim as the 'queen' of Los Angeles? Nobody knows for sure, but that didn't stop social media from writing negative comments!
"The 'Queen' please," wrote one unimpressed Instagram user, followed by the eye rolling emoji. "You will never be Queen. FYI," noted a second, as a third slammed: "Dream on, Meghan." "With Love, Meghan the Queen of Mean ring. Do you think she sent one as a gift to her sister? We all know how much family means to this Grifter from Montecito!" exclaimed a fourth, as a fifth called her "insufferable."
Meghan Markle Changed Her Engagement Ring Four Times So Far!
There's no doubt that the mom-of-two loves to switch up her rings. In fact, she's changed her engagement ring from Prince Harry multiple times since his 2017 proposal – four times, if we're counting!
The Spare author originally popped the question with a ring featuring a cushion-cut diamond (reportedly between 2.5 and 3 carats) flanked by two smaller diamonds from the late Princess Diana's personal collection. But just two years later, Meghan swapped the band for a much thinner version.
Later, she reportedly had the ring reset by jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, this time with a diamond band. In 2023, Meghan sparked divorce rumors when she was spotted without her ring; but in reality, she was simply having it altered again. And in her Netflix series With Love, Meghan which aired this year, eagle-eyed viewers noticed yet another change, as the central cushion-cut diamond had seemingly transformed into an emerald cut.
