Meghan Markle memorably made headlines in March 2021 after she was accused of bullying Palace staff during her time as a working royal. Soon after this, Buckingham Palace announced its intentions to investigate these accusations, a report that was recently completed. The Palace recently announced that it will not be releasing the findings, which seems to imply that Markle, 40, is in the clear and not found to have bullied anyone.

An insider reportedly told Us Weekly, “Meghan is a fair boss and never bullied anyone who worked for her at the Palace in the first place. She’s happy that her name has been cleared from the defamatory claims.” The source reportedly added, “she and Harry are looking forward to putting the incident behind them and are happily moving on with their lives in Montecito.”

The Duchess of Sussex had maintained and always denied that she had bullied members of Palace staff. Lawyers for her and husband Prince Harry, 37, also deemed the situation a “calculated smear campaign.” Apparently, as reported by Marie Claire, the bullying claims were even “rescinded” by two of the staffers involved. This was claimed in an additional chapter of the bestselling unauthorized Sussex biography Finding Freedom, which was added in fall 2021.

In the May 2022 BBC documentary about Prince Harry and his brother William, The Princes and the Press, Markle’s lawyer Jenny Afia said, “This narrative that no one could work for the Duchess of Sussex, that she was too difficult or demanding a boss, and that everyone had to leave, is just not true.”
