Meghan Markle has shown a subtle sign of support to her husband, Prince Harry, after he lost his recent court case, and internet users are slamming her for it.

The prince recently suffered a blow after his appeal to a ruling set by the UK court in 2020 that his and his family’s royal security would be downgraded was denied. After he gave a bombshell interview to the BBC, Meghan decided to show her support for her husband and the father of her children by posting a picture of him in their backyard with their kids, Archie and Lilibet, on Instagram. The photo was met with backlash from internet users who felt she should’ve kept their private lives private. Read more about the Instagram post below.

Meghan Markle Posts Photo Of Prince Harry And Their Children After His Appeal Was Denied In Court

In 2020, not long after the famous couple stepped down from their royal duties and moved to the United States, the UK High Court ruled that their security would be downgraded and reviewed on a case-by-case basis any time they returned to the UK for any reason. This meant he would not receive the same level of protection he would if he and Meghan were still working royals.

Prince Harry attempted to appeal the ruling, feeling that he was being given inferior treatment, but on May 2nd, the court decided to deny his appeal. They stated that the original ruling was not unlawful, and later that day, the Duke of Sussex sat down with BBC to express his disappointment in a revealing interview.

"[I'm] pretty gutted about the decision," said Harry.

"For the time being, it's impossible for me to take my family back to the UK safely," he added.

Two days after his appeal was denied, the Duchess of Sussex took to Instagram to show support for her husband. On May 4th, she shared a black-and-white photo of Harry and their two kids, Archie and Lilibet, in their garden. The picture, which was taken from behind, shows Lilibet on her dad's shoulders while Archie holds his hand.

Although Meghan has her Instagram comments turned off, that did not stop internet users from leaving comments about the image, many of which criticized her for her show of support and "private" shot.

Internet Users React To Meghan's Instagram Post Of Harry And Their Kids

After the subtle photo was posted, various accounts on all social media platforms reposted it, allowing people to weigh in on the situation in the comments section. The reactions were mixed, but numerous people still disagree with their decision to step down from royal duties and move to America.

"You've made your bed, Harry, now lie in it!" wrote an Instagram user.

"No one cares," added another. "Go live your lives in private."

"When nothing goes their way, there is always a picture of [their] kids to distract from all the backlash they got," noted an Instagram user.

Although the As Ever founder still has yet to make an official statement about her husband's loss in court, right before the latest ruling, she made a statement at the TIME100 Summit that she was the "happiest she's ever been" and that Prince Harry was a very "supportive" husband and father. We'll be curious to see how the latest security-related drama affects their family in the future.
