Brooklyn Beckham And Nicola Peltz-Beckham Reportedly 'Had A Wonderful Time' At Prince Harry And Meghan Markle's Dinner
According to reports, Brooklyn and Nicola may not have received a direct invite from the Sussexes themselves, with a mutual friend potentially extending the invitation to them. The dinner was believed to be more of a networking event if the other guests in attendance are anything to go by, but it was still "intimate" nonetheless.
"While it was an intimate gathering, there were several additional guests, including VIPs and film executives," an insider spilled to Page Six.
They went on to say that the young couple didn't seem fazed by the ongoing drama with their parents and their hosts, and revealed: "Brooklyn and Nicola had a wonderful time and found Harry and Meghan to be particularly kind, caring and generous."
David Beckham Was 'Absolutely Furious'
The Beckhams, on the other hand, are said to be very angry that their son and daughter-in-law broke bread with the Sussexes; even more so because they barely see each other due to another alleged rift between Brooklyn and his parents. Yikes!
An insider reportedly told the Daily Mail that neither David nor Victoria were happy with Brooklyn and Nicola's decision to attend the party. "Brooklyn knows how hurt David and Victoria were when Harry and Meghan accused them of briefing stories about them," the insider explained, adding: "David, who is very mild mannered, was absolutely furious."
"Brooklyn was very much around and spending a lot of time with his parents when this all happened," the insider continued, in reference to Prince Harry and Meghan's feud with the Beckhams. "It was over five years ago but the upset and dislike is still very much there."
"Victoria was especially good to Meghan in the beginning and it all got thrown back in her face," the source concluded, as a separate insider added: "It's a kick in the teeth or a total screw you. Depending on what side you are on."
Fan Comments
"Victoria must be fuming," speculated one fan on a People Instagram post, as a second echoed: "Victoria is going to be livid." "Big mistake on Brooklyn's part! He will live to regret it," predicted a third, adding: "Harry and Meghan are up to something. I predict the relationship between Brooklyn and his family are going to get a lot worse!"
"Meghan stirring the pot," quipped a fourth, as a fifth replied: "Yes, David distanced himself from Harry because of what they have done to their families. This will be a very calculated move on Meghan's part." "Well Meg is the queen of creating family drama and icing out relatives," a sixth chimed in. "She's messy," criticized a seventh. "Meghan is so petty and I love it," wrote an eighth.
"Of course they did," wrote another unimpressed Instagram user, in reference to Prince Harry and Meghan inviting Brooklyn and Nicola. "Megs is giving Nicola lessons on being the daughter-in-law from hell!" exclaimed another. "Pathetic!" slammed another. "Wow! As revenge that the Beckhams dumped them," someone else thought.
