It’s been a challenging week for Melania Trump, who is now facing a lawsuit from author Michael Wolff. Wolff filed the suit after her legal team threatened him with a $1B defamation lawsuit over his comments linking her to Jeffrey Epstein. The lawsuit claims that the threat was intended to intimidate and silence him.
Adding to the legal drama, a cryptocurrency named after Melania, $MELANIA, has also been implicated in a broader fraud lawsuit.
Despite the court battles, the First Lady appears unbothered, recently sharing a teaser for her upcoming documentary.

Melania Trump-Backed Memecoin Faces Lawsuit
Melania Trump recently made headlines after a federal lawsuit claimed that a memecoin she promoted, called $MELANIA, was part of an alleged “pump-and-dump” cryptocurrency scheme. Filed in October 2025, the suit accuses the project’s organizers of using Melania as “window dressing” to add legitimacy to the operation—though it does not allege any wrongdoing on her part.
Insiders allegedly inflated the coin’s value to cash out millions before its price crashed, leaving other investors with major losses.
On Wednesday, October 1, Melania reposted an AI-generated video of herself on X with the caption, “Into The Future.” The video, originally posted by the official account for her cryptocurrency $MELANIA, features a digital version of the 55-year-old forming from a cloud of pixels inside a sleek, futuristic building resembling Trump Tower.
Melania announced the memecoin on social media platform X on January 19, 2025, just days before her husband’s second inauguration.
