President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are set to visit Britain’s King Charles III later this fall, Buckingham Palace announced Sunday. The official visit, taking place from September 17 to 19, comes at the invitation of King Charles himself.
Naturally, anticipation is already building over what Melania will wear during the trip, as her fashion choices throughout the second term have earned widespread praise for their refined and elegant style.
Melania Trump Wears Dolce & Gabbana For 2019 U.K. Visit
One standout ensemble from her past royal visit still lingers in fans’ memories. When she met Queen Elizabeth in 2019, Melania stunned in a sophisticated white below-the-knee Dolce & Gabbana dress accented with a navy blue collar and belt.
The look was completed with her signature polished touch—matching navy pumps and a custom wide-brim hat by her trusted stylist and designer, Herve Pierre, featuring a navy accent band. The hat, worn at a slight diagonal, added a distinctly posh British flair to her already flawless appearance.
During that extended trip, she also stepped out in a variety of standout looks, including a tailored skirt suit, an elegant custom Dior gown paired with opera gloves, and a timeless tan trench coat.

In her second term, Melania’s style has shifted away from gowns and midi dresses, embracing a more tailored, structured aesthetic. She’s been spotted frequently in coordinated sets and power suits, along with an array of skirt suits, crisp collared blouses, and sophisticated trench coats.
The British prime minister said of the upcoming visit by the president and the First Lady, "This is really special. This has never happened before. This is unprecedented.”
"I think that just symbolizes the strength of the relationship between us. This is a very special letter. I think the last state visit was a tremendous success," the prime minister said. "His Majesty the King wants to make this even better than that, so this is truly historic. An unprecedented second state visit."
