Have you always wondered how Melania Trump felt when Donald Trump lost the latest election that saw Joe Biden become president? Well, wonder no more, as the former First Lady has made her thoughts on her time in the White House – and how she feels about her new life away from it – very clear.
According to sources, the 51-year-old mom-of-one was “relieved” when Donald Trump’s term ended, as she didn’t like the invasion of privacy and media scrutiny that being the president’s wife brought with it. It turns out that she is all about living a low key and private life – something which was almost impossible during the four years in the White House – and is “not one bit interested” in reliving it.
“Melania does not like being in the public eye and has made it clear that she isn’t interested in doing it again,” a political source told People this week. “She likes family and her private life. The media glare is not for her.”
This doesn’t really surprise us, as it echoes what the former FLOTUS said in that now infamous leaked footage that was recorded back in 2018. If you cast your minds back to last year, you may remember that a former aide leaked some secretly recorded audio footage from summer 2018, whereby the former Sports Illustrated model can be heard addressing her frustration at the criticism surrounding her husband, in particular his policy of separating families who illegally crossed the southern border. She then went on to talk about some of her First Lady duties that she would rather not have, such as decorating the White House for Christmas, saying that she just saw the act of decorating as something she had to do, even though she didn’t want to.

So, what does Melania like to do with her days now that she is no longer being closely observed as the First Lady? According to sources, her most important role is the role of a mother, and she is reportedly very invested in 15-year-old son Barron Trump's education and after-school activities.
"She is totally involved with Barron's education, after-school activity and overall well-being," says the source. Barron Trump who is often referred to as 'mini Donald' has just started at Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, the school which was founded by Florida entrepreneur-billionaire Bill Koch.
And as for how she will feel if Donald Trump decides to run for president again? "She is not one bit interested in another campaign, and certainly not participating in it," the source confessed. "If he runs, I doubt she will be involved at all. If he should win, that would be the worst-case scenario for her. Things will need to be evaluated at such a time."
