Meryl Streep already has a plethora of awards under her belt; but she is adding one more to her collection, as she received an honorary Palme d’Or award at the 77th annual Cannes Film Festival opening ceremony on Tuesday, May 14th.
The 74-year-old Devil Wears Prada alum clearly dressed for the occasion, and was pictured looking flawless in a chic white power suit during a photocall ahead of the Cannes Film Festival’s opening ceremony.
Talking to The Hollywood Reporter about receiving the award, prior to arriving in France, the Don’t Look Up actress said: “I am immeasurably honored to receive the news of this prestigious award. To win a prize at Cannes, for the international community of artists, has always represented the highest achievement in the art of filmmaking.” She added: ‘To stand in the shadow of those who have previously been honored is humbling and thrilling in equal part. I so look forward to coming to France to thank everyone in person this May!”

Meryl Streep Stuns In A White Power Suit At Cannes Film Festival
The multiple-Oscar-winning actress stole the show in a chic white power suit, which consisted of classy white trousers and a matching blazer, teamed with a bold blue and white striped shirt inside.
The Mamma Mia! star accessorized with some leg-elongating silver pointed-toe heels, and protected herself from the sun with a straw hat and some black sunglasses. For jewelry, she rocked some silver hoop earrings, and finished the look off with a pop of soft pink lipstick.
