Michelle Obama’s recent look has left us speechless.
The 61-year-old former First Lady wore a patterned dress to The Lobster Club in Puerto Portals, Calvià. She was grabbing lunch with the former U.S. Ambassador to Spain James Costos, his partner Michael Smith, and her daughters, Sasha and Malia.
Michael Smith is the Obama family’s interior designer and did the 2010 Oval Office makeover. But he’s not the only one with an eye for pattern. Get all the details on her outfit below.
Michelle Obama Stuns in Patterned Dress
The former First Lady looked classy and stylish at lunch in a vibrant dress with a sweetheart neckline. The fabric featured floral and geometric designs, resembling Spanish tile work.
She didn’t rely on the brown, yellow, orange, and blue of the dress to make the look pop. Michelle accessorized with gold bangle bracelets, chunky brown sunglasses, hoop earrings, and plenty of rings.
Her fashion sense must be genetic. Her daughters sported great vacation looks, too. Malia wore a denim miniskirt with a polka dot halter top. Sasha, who recently celebrated her twenty-fourth birthday, rocked a brown skirt, white off-the-shoulder top and chunky green belt.

Michelle Obama Is Glad She Doesn't Have a Son
Michelle is glad she has daughters and not a son, or so she joked on IMO, the podcast she cohosts with her brother Craig Robinson, on June 18th.
She and Robinson were joined by Angie Martinez, a radio legend, as they discussed parenting young men today and the challenges that come with it.
On the podcast, Martinez said the Obama family “should’ve [thrown] a boy in the mix.”

Michelle responded, “I’m so glad I didn’t have a boy. Because he would’ve been a Barack Obama.”
“Baby Barack, it would’ve been amazing,” Martinez replied.
“No, I would’ve felt for him,” Michelle maintained.
Michelle has experience as an aunt to young men, though. Speaking of his sons and her nephews, Robinson said she “borrowed our boys.” Michelle affirmed she has “got plenty.”
Regardless, the Obama family keeps the fashionable looks coming.
