Many A-listers have undergone epic transformations for movie roles. Chris Pratt lost 60 lbs. in six months for Guardians of the Galaxy, Christian Bale practically stopped eating and exercising in order to lose 63 lbs. for The Machinist, and an already very slim Anne Hathaway lost 16 lbs. to play Fantine in Les Misérables, which she ultimately won an Oscar for.
And Darren Aronofsky’s 2010 psychological thriller Black Swan was just as physically demanding, with both Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis reportedly losing 20 lbs. to transform themselves into professional ballerinas.
Mila Kunis Ate 'Very Little' To Drop 20 Lbs. For 'Black Swan' Transformation
An already slim and petite Kunis reportedly ate very little – surviving on Gwyneth-Paltrow-approved bone broth – while dancing for around 12 hours a day in order to slim down further for her role as Lily, opposite Portman's Oscar-winning turn as Nina. And as the movie celebrates its 15th anniversary, Kunis opened up to Vogue about just how grueling the preparation really was!
The Luckiest Girl Alive star, 42, told the fashion bible: "My prep was a lot of dancing and very little eating – which I know you're not supposed to say, but it's the truth."

"I drank a lot of broth and danced for 12 hours a day," the mom-of-two, who is married to That '70s Show co-star Ashton Kutcher, continued.
"We were only supposed to have three months of prep before filming started, but we lost some financing, so that got extended to six months while Darren tried to find money," Kunis went on, adding: "It sucked for Darren, but Nat and I were so happy because we had three extra months to dance."

Mila Kunis Details Injuries From Intense 'Dancing Scenes'
And that's not all, as the Goodrich actress confessed that she sustained many injuries during filming, which isn't surprising given the intensity of some of the dancing sequences.
"We would shoot those dancing scenes for hours, and I had bruises all over my ribs just from being lifted over and over again," the actress explained. She added: "I also dislocated my shoulder pretty early in the production and thought I was completely screwed, but Darren sent me to an acupuncturist and I somehow came out totally fine."
