Pre-installed apps are the bundle of apps that come with your iPhone. Some are great and you wouldn’t dream of deleting them — Google Calendar, Notes, and Mail among them, most likely. 1. Stocks
When was the last time you opened the Stocks app and used it to track your investments? If the answer is “never,” feel free to get rid of it. Serious investors often rely on apps that are linked to their investment firm of choice — the iPhone Stocks app can feel dated in comparison.
2. Compass
When we first encountered the Compass app, we thought it was a cute novelty item that was fun to play around with for a few days. Once the novelty wore off though, it became evident that we weren’t going to use it again. If that sounds like your experience with Compass, delete it.
3. Apple News
Apple News aggregates news content from various sources and puts it together in one neat package for you to consume. The problem is: it’s random. And many people are consuming their news through specific channels, like podcasts they subscribe to. You can delete Apple News if it doesn’t serve your news needs.
4. Tips
The Tips app is a sweet one that provides a number of helpful tips on how to get the most out of your iPhone. While it’s true that there is always something new to learn, especially with newer iPhone models, many of us have gathered all of the tips we feel we need to use our phones effectively, and are rarely, if ever, going to check the Tips app again.
