Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly heading to the U.K. with their children next month. It will be the first time the family of four will be in the U.K. together since 2022… and the internet certainly has a lot of thoughts!
According to reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to travel to the U.K. along with their son, Prince Archie, 7, and daughter, Princess Lilibet, 5. Although the Spare author has returned to his home country several times over the years, this would mark the first time Meghan and the children have visited since the late Queen Elizabeth II‘s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022. Meghan joined her husband in the U.K. in September 2022 for his grandmother’s funeral, while their children remained in California.

Prince Harry Will Reportedly Bring Meghan Markle And Their Kids To The UK For The First Time In Four Years
Prince Harry is expected to travel to the U.K. to promote the One Year to Go event for the Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham next year. It will be the first time the Games have been hosted in the U.K. since they were founded in 2014.
One of the main reasons Prince Harry previously said he did not want to bring his family to the U.K. was because he feared for their safety, as he no longer receives the high level of publicly funded security he had before he and Meghan stepped down as senior royals in 2020.
The father-of-two has challenged the decision in court several times over the years, which has reportedly added further strain to his relationship with his own father, King Charles. If the Duke and Duchess of Sussex do travel with their children next month, it would suggest they are comfortable with the security arrangements in place, although no details have been disclosed at the time of writing.

According to the BBC, a government spokesperson said on Wednesday, June 17th: "The U.K. government's protective security system is rigorous and proportionate. It is our long-standing policy not to provide detailed information on those arrangements, as doing so could compromise their integrity and affect individuals' security."
It is still unclear where the couple and their children would stay, as there have been reports suggesting they could stay at Balmoral, where it is quieter and where King Charles could spend time with his grandchildren.
However, other reports have claimed the King is reluctant to host them because of the ongoing family tensions and the attention Prince Harry's visits tend to generate, as well as the fact that Prince Harry has previously used his children as "emotional blackmail" to get private security, which King Charles is not happy about. Is this simply a way to keep the media guessing so any family reunion can happen in peace and privacy? Only time will tell!

Internet Reactions
As expected, the internet had plenty of thoughts about the news, with many thinking that Prince Harry and Meghan are going to the U.K. purely for financial reasons. "Out of money?" asked one Instagram user. "They are broke," echoed a second, followed by three crying-laughing emojis.
"It was just a matter of time before they came crawling back because H&M need the royals to stay relevant," agreed a third, also followed by three crying-laughing emojis. "Harry is the ex that won't leave you alone," quipped a fourth, as a fifth exclaimed: "Bringing out the kids... this should get them the attention they crave!"
Others referenced the security concerns, with a sixth asking: "If they're worried about their safety there, why are they announcing this?" "If they were that worried about security, they wouldn't have announced it," wrote a seventh in agreement, while an eighth said: "I thought it was too dangerous? Useless Harry."
"I think Britain is going through enough trauma without these two showing up," said a ninth, while a tenth declared: "Nobody wants them here!" "Nobody cares," added an eleventh.
Others were more positive about the visit. "Hopefully they will be able to meet their cousins and wider family," said a twelfth. "May they have a lovely visit – glad the children can see some of their father's homeland and hopefully family. Not to mention, the Invictus Games is such a fabulous organization. Glad they all will be able to attend events!" wrote a thirteenth. "I would be delighted to see them," added a fourteenth.
