Until this Monday, Prince Harry hadn’t seen his father in nearly two years. They didn’t celebrate holidays, gather for birthdays, or meet for a meal for 20 months, all due to the royal rift Harry created when leaving the royal family for America with his wife, Meghan Markle.
Now, King Charles is battling cancer and Prince Harry seems to have let go of a lot of the resentment he was holding towards his father. On Wednesday, the two put their differences aside and met for “a private tea” during Harry’s trip to London. Keep reading for more information.
King Charles And Prince Harry Reunite
The Duke of Sussex had traveled to the UK for the annual WellChild Awards and in his spare time, he was able to convince his father to spend some time together. Harry traveled to his father's home, Clarence House, for "a private tea" that lasted just under an hour.
As he was seen leaving his house, a fan asked him how his father was doing, to which Harry replied, "He's great, thank you." It seems that Harry left in high spirits, so the conversation must've been productive, though reps from King Charles and Prince Harry have not revealed what was discussed.
Harry's people did tell The Post that Harry has "obviously loved being back in the UK, catching up with old friends and colleagues, and just generally being able to support the incredible work of the causes that mean so much to him."

Prince Harry Is 'Desperate' For Reconciliation
So will this meeting lead to reconciliation? It's hard to say. Speaking to Fox News Digital back in August, royal expert Hilary Fordwich said that King Charles is "more guarded than ever, indeed somewhat traumatized by a string of betrayals."
She added that despite Harry clearly being "desperate," the king "has expressed being cautious and way regarding fearing further unsavory leaks, especially private royal family gatherings being publicized yet again."
Plus, it's going to take a lot more to get back in Prince William's good favor. "Overall doubt still prevails in Prince William's camp," Fordwich said. "He considers any reconciliation at all as a 'grave mistake.' His senior royal courtiers are understood to be just as wary and immensely protective of the future monarch. They only see [a reconciliation] as creating more bombshells, as well as instability."
However, a path towards reconciliation is seemingly in the works. Meredith Maines and Liam Maguire, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's aides, were photographed in London meeting with Tobyn Andreae, King Charles' communications secretary. The trio met at the Royal Over-Seas League, a private members' club a few minutes away from the Clarence House, where King Charles lives. According to witnesses, the trio enjoyed the outdoors on the club's balcony before moving inside for a more private conversation.
Though no tidbits of their conversation were heard, a source told Daily Mail: "There's a long road ahead, but a channel of communication is now open for the first time in years. There was no formal agenda, just casual drinks. There were things both sides wanted to talk about."
