Queen Camilla 'Does Not Appreciate' Kate Middleton's Help Amid Andrew Fallout
According to the latest reports, the Princess of Wales is trying to help out wherever and however she can, both behind-the-scenes and in public following the disgraced royal's arrest at the end of last month.
As well as releasing a statement with the Prince of Wales after his uncle's name appeared on the Jeffrey Epstein list, the Princess of Wales is putting on a brave face and attending events with her husband to try to distract people from what is happening behind palace walls. But Queen Camilla is not happy!
"Camilla does not appreciate Kate inserting herself," a source reportedly told The National Examiner. "They have never gotten along, but Camilla is being openly combative now and accusing Kate [of] making Charles and her look bad." Yikes!
King Charles Is Facing 'Extraordinary Strain'
The same insider added that King Charles, who is still battling cancer despite scaling back his treatment this year, is facing "extraordinary strain" following his disgraced younger brother's arrest on his 66th birthday. However, Camilla reportedly believes Kate's efforts to help publicly and privately are unnecessary, and potentially damaging…
"He's not weak-minded. He's in charge, and Kate acting like he needs her help riles Camilla to no end," the source explained.
They went on: "She says the last thing Charles needs right now is Kate giving the impression to everyone that he's infirm."
King Charles 'Defends' His Daughter-In-Law
Despite Camilla's frustration, King Charles reportedly defends his daughter-in-law and her intentions, which seems to annoy her even more!
"He defends Kate whenever Camilla starts laying into her and insists her intentions are good, that she's only trying to be helpful. But Camilla won't hear it," the source said. "She's furious and visibly bristles any time Kate walks into the room."
According to reports, royal watchers are urging Camilla to rethink her approach, especially as there is so much uncertainty surrounding the future of the monarchy right now. "With the way things are unfolding, a lot of people are whispering that she ought to be a lot kinder," the insider added.
They went on to say that it's entirely "plausible" that the Prince and Princess of Wales could very well take the throne early. "Camilla would be wise to try and get on their good side for the sake of her own future prospects," the insider advised.
Queen Camilla Advised To 'Dial Back This Envy'
This echoes what another insider recently told Closer, who alleged that Queen Camilla was feeling "sidelined" by her stepdaughter-in-law during recent events such as the U.S. state banquet in September last year.
"There's no doubt Camilla is panicked – but instead of falling into line and respecting Kate, she's chosen to be territorial," the source explained at the time, before going on to suggest that Camilla should tread carefully in the coming months for her own sake.
"Camilla needs to dial back this envy and resentment before it becomes a bigger problem," they advised, adding: "After everything Kate's been through, the last thing she needs is to be pulled to pieces just for trying to do her job. She won't back down."
