Ryan Reynolds Is Rude To Child Journalist On Red Carpet
As Reynolds was walking down the red carpet, he was flagged down by a young reporter, who couldn’t be older than ten years old at most. The reporter politely said to Ryan, “Hi Ryan, nice to meet you,” to which the actor responded, “Nice to meet you let’s skip to the question.”
Social media was immediately outraged by the father-of-three’s response, even if it was sarcasm, because children often don’t recognize sarcasm until they reach their teen years. So while adults may see him as joking around while in a rush, this young child immediately feels brushed off by a high-profile actor who’s supposed to be setting a good example.
Social Media Reactions
Clips of their interaction have been making their rounds on social media and viewers are horrified. "He's always so irritated," one person wrote on TikTok. "He masks it all the time. But it flashes. It's clearly his natural demeanor, but he pretends it's comedy."
"He might be joking but the joke wasn't funny," another said.
"Let's skip to the question? Dude it's a kid," a third person said.
"He's such a prick," chimed in another.
"He's insufferable!" another commented. "A total narcissist."
"His wife is rubbing off on him." another fan said. "He's so rude!"
"Even if he were just joking," a final person said, "children do not pick up on that."
