Shakira just dropped another infectious, danceable Latin pop single, “El Jefe” and its coinciding new music video with fun, wild Western-inspired fashion! The Grammy winner, 46, can be seen rocking several sleek outfits in the new vid— from a skintight, fiery red top and matching leather pants to a Y2K-esque graphic tee and jeans.

Our favorite look from the new project, however, has to be her all-black attire— composed of a curve-hugging bodysuit, see-through fringe skirt, classic riding boots and hat to match! To dazzle up her outfit even more, Shakira also added a shimmering bedazzled belt to complement the rhinestones on her cowgirl hat.

Shakira Rocks Fun & Flirty Cowgirl-Inspired Look For New Music Video

While dancing, riding horseback and singing catchy melodies along with ear-pleasing acoustic guitar instrumentals, Shakira is absolutely captivating in her new vid. For the track, the Colombian superstar collaborated with Mexican regional band Fuerza Regida, who provided their own epic verses and choreography for the visual.

On social media last week, Shakira shared clips from her “El Jefe” vid, and fans also couldn’t get enough of her outfit. As for her glam, she wore her signature wavy, blonde tresses down for some scenes and tied them into chic braids for others. The “Hips Don’t Lie” hitmaker uploaded the official visual to YouTube, where fans praised her style, dance moves and musical skills in the comment section.

I love it,” one fan wrote, adding that Shakira’s look throughout reminded them of the “best style of the 2000’s.” Another added: “Shakira does not sing in one musical genre, she is all genres,” with a heart-eyes emoji. Someone else chimed in: “It makes me cry because of how good it is. You are the best Shakira.” Others deemed her to be “beautiful,” “stylish” and someone who can “do it all.” (We agree!)

“El Jefe,” that seems to be written about a bad boss, marks a departure for Shakira, delving into different emotions than those explored in her recent hits (that mainly focused on post-breakup heartbreak and her relationship with her sons as a mother of two young boys Milan, 10 and Sasha, 8).

Despite this, the song is still very personal, particularly due to the reference to Lili Melgar, her children’s nanny who allegedly discovered her ex Gerard Piqué‘s infidelity and subsequently lost her job without compensation. At the end of the track, Shakira says: “Lili Melgar, this song is for you, they didn’t pay you the compensation.”
