Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello were once the epitome of couple goals before their shock divorce last year, which came after almost ten years of marriage. The split appeared somewhat amicable, with the pair seemingly calling it quits because of Manganiello’s desire to have children – something Vergara wasn’t on board with.
However, the Modern Family star, 52, may have just hinted that their separation wasn’t as amicable as they first made out, and suggested that the True Blood alum, 48, could have resented how much money she made during a candid interview with Jenna Bush Hager on NBC’s Today with Jenna & Friends. Sofía Vergara Shares What She Is Looking For In A Future Partner
The Griselda actress‘s confession came when she was telling Jenna and guest-host Mel B about what she is looking for in a future partner, while seemingly making a subtle dig at her ex-husband at the same time.
“I want to say the basic stuff, like health and somebody that loves me. Somebody tall, handsome,” Sofía began, adding: “I want somebody that has as much money as me or more, because if not, it’s a nightmare. They end up resenting you.” Ouch!
The Hot Pursuit actress went on to say that she's on the lookout for "somebody fun, because I need fun in my life," although she's not in a rush anymore. Vergara admitted that she may have rushed into a relationship with orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman last year, revealing that she "panicked" after her marriage ended. But now, she's taking things more slowly.
"I've been single now for a year and a half, and I kind of panicked once I got divorced. I was like, 'I'm 52, what's gonna happen? Where am I going to find [someone]?'" the America's Got Talent judge said, before adding: "I'm not really in a hurry anymore."

Why Did Sofía Vergara And Joe Manganiello Split?
The Despicable Me 4 star previously explained that she and Joe – who were married from November 2015 to February 2024 – went their separate ways because of their differing views on having children, with Joe wanting to have biological children with Sofía, and Sofía not wanting to be an "old mom." She already has 33-year-old son Manolo Gonzalez from her previous marriage to Joe Gonzalez.
"My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids and I didn't want to be an old mom," Sofía previously explained. "I feel it's not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but that's not for me anymore," she added.
Manganiello also discussed the split in an interview with Men's Journal, and said the decision about children wasn't the only reason "everything ended." He confirmed: "It's because two people grew apart, and sometimes that happens."
He added: "To be painted as if I had some sort of midlife crisis, and after nine years, turned to somebody and gave them an ultimatum of, 'Do this potentially unhealthy thing to your body, or else I'm gone?' That's never who I was."
