Taco Bell has been a haven for those who love Mexican-inspired food and often need a quick and affordable meal, no matter what the circumstances. But, many customers are beginning to turn their back on the infamous fast food chain, due to the quality of their food starting to slip.

A Reddit user recently went viral after posting a picture of their ‘sad’ Nacho Fries Supreme, a menu item that combined their flavorful nacho fries with classic nacho toppings. Once customers caught a glimpse of the disappointing order and compared it to what the restaurant advertises, they vented about the alleged downfall in Taco Bell’s food quality, and some commented about how they would never go again. A Taco Bell Customer Goes Viral After Posting A Picture Of Their 'Sad' Nacho Fries Supreme

In some Taco Bell locations, customers are able to order the restaurant's Nacho Fries in a 'supreme' version, where they're coated with beef, pico de gallo, nacho cheese sauce, and a dollop of sour cream. Those who are able to order the decadent deal have loved it in the past for its filling ingredients and tasty flavor, giving them something a little different from the usual tacos and burritos.

However, like many fast food items, this order has seemingly also gone downhill a bit over the years. Taco Bell is one of the many famous fast food chains being accused of 'shrinkflation,' meaning their prices either stay the same or go up, while their menu items begin getting smaller and lower in quality. McDonald's has been accused of the issue many times, as well as Wendy's, and now, Taco Bell is getting their fair share of accusations. Just recently, customers complained about the alleged shrinkage of classic menu items like their Cheesy Roll Up, which is just a tortilla stuffed with melted cheese.

Recently, a Reddit user caused a stir in the popular 'shrinkflation' Reddit thread when they shared a picture of their Nacho Fries Supreme order they received, which was very small and anticlimactic compared to pictures they've seen online. Once other users got a look at the picture, they began weighing in on how "sad" they looked and how much they felt the restaurant had been slipping.

Reddit Users Complain About The Quality Of Taco Bell's Food

Taco Bell customers have been getting more and more vocal about the way the chain has changed, from the food not being as cheap and accessible anymore to the flavors, ingredients, and menu items not being nearly as satisfying as they used to be. On this Reddit thread, they didn't hold back, with numerous customers even threatening to boycott the once super popular chain.

"I miss how their food used to look and taste," wrote a customer, as another responded that they eventually had to "stop buying" their food.

"Such sad fries," commented a user.

"This made me laugh," added another. "It is so horrid."

"We live in a capitalist dystopia," wrote one customer.

A former Taco Bell customer encouraged the poster to forget about going there and look for something better locally.

"Go to local joints," they added, as another said they "never buy fast food anymore."

We've definitely been seeing a trend in fast food places getting called out by customers who are ready to throw in the towel and stop ordering and eating fast food for good. Does it mean that Taco Bell is really ever going to take a hit in sales? We'll have to wait and see.
