Target Just Announced It's Ending This Major Covid Safety Policy--Are They Kidding?

Target is ending its popular senior store hours for Covid-19–we are so surprised!

The big box chain announced that not only will it be scaling back it special hours for senior citizens, pregnant women and other people defined by the CDC as “vulnerable”–but it will also be extending its store hours for holiday shopping.

If you recall, the special shopping hours were established at the start of the novel coronavirus outbreak so that those who were most vulnerable to the virus could shop safely. The hour will now exist only once a week, instead of every day. It's a real shame!

Target has announced that starting this week, it will be extending its store hours leading up to Christmas so that they are open from 7 a.m. until midnight.

The company spokesperson also revealed that it was scaling back its senior hours to the first hour on Tuesdays, down from daily. Shoppers are urged to check their local Target's store information to confirm hours in their area.

Twitter users lashed out immediately. "Shouldn’t they be reducing their hours to cut down on exposure?" wrote one user.

"Tis the season for $$" said another. Yikes!
