When your sweet tooth strikes, you could be at home near a bowl of fresh fruit–or you could be on the road, where drive-thru dining is regrettably convenient.
In the latter example, there are a few dessert menu items that are a big no-no, health experts warn.

One such item is a McDonald's McFlurry with toppings! Did you know that the soft serve swirl treat can clock in at over 1,000 calories?! That's almost an entire recommended daily intake for adults. Wow!
"Your regular McFlurry will run you around 800 calories, but when you add all of the toppings you load yourself up with another 500 plus calories easily," warns kuudose celebrity health and fitness coach Joey Thurman.

You see, while the average McFlurry order is already calorie-packed (the Oreo McFlurry has 570 cals; the seasonal Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurry has 630), there is the option of adding additional toppings like chocolate chips or caramel sauce.
This is where the unhealthy dessert gets truly deadline. "Avoid adding syrup, fudge or any other additional toppings because they will also add topping to you!" Thurman advises. You have our word!
