It doesn’t look like Tom Cruise‘s relationship with his 18-year-old daughter Suri Cruise is improving, as he reportedly has no plans to visit her at college.
Suri is currently attending Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which her father is reportedly paying for, as per his and Katie Holmes‘ divorce settlement from 2012. Suri was apparently expecting a visit from her mom on Family Weekend at the end of last month; however, the Daily Mail reported that her father was not expected to attend that event, nor is he likely to visit during any other events in the future.

Tom Cruise's Estranged Relationship With Daughter Suri
The 62-year-old Top Gun: Maverick actor has been estranged from the daughter he shares with ex-wife Katie Holmes for many years now, with many outlets saying that they haven't seen each other in over 11 years – although he is still contributing to her life financially.
The Vanilla Sky actor is reportedly paying her annual tuition at CMU, which is $65K; and as per the divorce settlement, is likely to be paying for "medical, dental, insurance, education, college and other extracurricular costs."
"Tom is indeed paying for Suri's tuition, he has always paid for her schooling and would never stop as he is a stand-up guy," an insider, believed to be a friend of the Interview with the Vampire actor's, reportedly told the Daily Mail.
"He has never hesitated paying his daughter's child support and expenses. He does not go back on his word. He is fulfilling his obligation," the friend added.
Is Scientology To Blame For Tom Cruise's Estranged Relationship With His Daughter?
It was previously reported that the Jerry Maguire actor's dedication to the controversial Scientology religion was largely responsible for the estrangement. According to TMZ, Katie and Tom's divorce papers reportedly stated that Suri couldn't be exposed to anything Scientology related; and as a result, the actor isn't actually allowed to spend time with her.
"By strict doctrines, Tom cannot engage or connect with his own daughter," former leading Scientologist Karen De La Carriere previously told the Daily Mail. She added: "Scientology has no scruples or ethics on loyalty to family and wants only to break up families. In Scientology, it is Scientology first; family priorities come low down in the order."
It doesn't seem like Suri is in a huge rush to connect with her estranged father either, as she has even copied some of the Jolie-Pitt kids and dropped his last name!
According to reports, Suri performed in her high school's adaptation of the Broadway show Head Over Heels earlier this year, with the program referring to her as "Suri Noelle" (in homage to her mom's middle name) rather than her legal name, "Suri Cruise."
Social Media Previously Called Tom Cruise A 'Deadbeat' Dad
Social media had many thoughts about the Edge of Tomorrow actor's estranged relationship with his daughter, with one person taking to X to call him a "deadbeat" dad when it was revealed that Suri had dropped Cruise from her last name earlier this year.
"There's no reason for her to have a deadbeat's name," slammed one X user. "Yeah I wouldn't want to be affiliated with him either," agreed a second, as a third exclaimed: "Good for her! Love that she's taking a stand."
