Sure, going to the beach, taking a vacation, and grilling in the sunshine are all things to love about summer. But if there’s one thing we really look forward to every year, it’s seasonal items hitting shelves at Trader Joe’s. From our favorite returning mochi treats to brand new items we’ve never seen before, there’s always something mouthwatering to search for in this cult-favorite store. And now there’s one more thing we can add to the list during these hot months: S’mores Ice Cream.

That’s right! The only thing that might be better than enjoying an ooey, gooey s’more by a campfire is cooling off with some creamy goodness. And while this sweet treat may be loaded with calories and sugar, which can definitely take a toll on your health, many think it’s worth the risk to indulge a bit this summer.

Fans are excited about Trader Joe's S'mores Ice Cream

Trader Joe's is no rookie at coming up with killer ice cream flavors. From the When Life Gives You Lemons variety to decadent Wildberry Cheesecake, there's always one we want to get our hands on. And the new S'mores Ice Cream is no exception.

The TJ's website description of the flavor is enough to make us want to hop in the car and try it ASAP: "We start with a base of rich, graham cracker-flavored ice cream, imbue it with marshmallow & chocolatey swirls, add a pinch of sea salt, sound the bugle, and call it a day!"

Fans across the internet are expressing excitement. When @traderjoesaficionado, an Instagram account dedicated to showcasing new products at the store shared the good news, calling the ice cream "dreamy," some took to the comments to rejoice.

"Omg I wanna try," one wrote.

"I need," another said.

A few pointed out health concerns, though: "Almost 1000 calories lmaooooooo," someone noted.

"Full of natural flavors and seed oils," another warned.

However, we can't help but want to indulge a bit anyway. After all, there's plenty of time for healthy meals. A bowl of ice cream won't kill you!

But what do you think? Will you be giving this summery new flavor a whirl, or will you stick to weight loss-friendly desserts? Let us know in the comments!
