And it is once again in the spotlight thanks to the Spice Girl turned fashion designer referencing it during her appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast on Wednesday, October 22nd.

What Were The 2004 Affair Rumors?
Allegations of an affair between David and his personal assistant and translator first began shortly after the former Manchester United soccer star joined Real Madrid in 2003.
Rebecca Loos sold the story of their alleged affair to the (now defunct) News of the World and Sky News in 2004, claiming the two had a four-month secret romance in Madrid while Victoria was back in the U.K.
Rebecca reportedly called David an "amazing lover," and added: "The chemistry between David and I was so strong… we were just locked into each other all night."
What Did Victoria Beckham Say About The Affair Rumors On The 'Call Her Daddy' Podcast?
Call Her Daddy podcast host Alex Cooper asked Victoria about how she has handled the ongoing "speculations" about her marriage to David, which was an obvious reference to the affair allegations.
"I know David's doc touched on this but can you just explain to me, for you and David, how did you handle all that when that came out?" Cooper asked.
“We've had so much thrown at us. We were talking about it because we've recently celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary," Victoria answered, before confessing: "By the way, people said it wouldn't work. 26 years!"
"We've had so much thrown at us," she continued, "and we've always just been there together and just ridden the storm. Ridden the damn storm."
26 years of marriage is impressive – especially for couples in the public eye – so David and Victoria are definitely having the last laugh!
David Beckham Denied The Allegations In His 'Beckham' Documentary As Victoria Beckham Called The Rumors 'The Hardest Period' In Their Marriage
The English footballer has always denied the allegations. Addressing the rumors in his 2023 documentary, he said it was "incredibly difficult" to see his wife in pain due to everything that was being written about them.
"I don't know how we got through it, in all honesty," he said. "Victoria's everything to me. To see her hurt was incredibly difficult. But, we're fighters. And at that time, we needed to fight for each other, we needed to fight for our family. And what we had was worth fighting for," he continued. And fight they did!
Victoria also addressed the affair rumors in the documentary, saying: "It was the hardest period [of our marriage] because it felt like the world was against us," she admitted.
"Here's the thing, we were against each other, if I'm being completely honest." She also went on to say: "It was the most unhappy I have ever been in my entire life. It wasn't that I felt unheard because I was always mindful of the focus that he needed."
Victoria Beckham Opened Up About Why Their Relationship Still Works
The fashion designer also opened up about their enviable relationship in a candid cover interview with Elle earlier this year, firstly telling the mag that it was "completely love at first sight" for both of them.
"He told me he went home and wrote my [telephone] number on so many other things in case he lost it," she recalled, before sharing what she believes is the secret to their lasting marriage.
"So often in relationships, one will say to the other, 'You've changed.' Well, of course you've changed! You're a different person when you're 20 than when you're 50."
"He believed in me when a lot of people didn't," she gushed. "He invested in me. At times I've been a laughingstock, people not taking my business seriously, but he always believed in me." Aww!
