Dermatologists and skincare experts agree that consuming the right vitamins and minerals can help promote a more youthful appearance to the skin by keeping it hydrated and nourished from within.

So we turned to the experts to find out which vitamin is the best when it comes to anti-aging skincare, and  the answer was no surprise. Hands down, vitamin C is the best supplement you can add to your diet to improve elasticity and smooth out wrinkles. No wonder so many beauty companies have been making vitamin C serums, moisturizers and masks.

It turns out that vitamin C is really as beneficial as everyone thought. This one vitamin can hydrate the skin for a younger-looking and smoother complexion.

Vitamin C provides a range of benefits, from evening out your skin tone, reducing pigmentation, shielding skin from the visible impacts of pollution, significantly improving hydration, and keeping your skin looking younger," Dr. Paul Jarrod Frank, celebrity cosmetic dermatologist in NYC and author of The Pro-Aging Playbook, told SheFinds.

It is very easy to get more vitamin C in your diet. Eat more citrus fruits or simply add a citrus juice to your routine every day. Just make sure whatever you're having with vitamin C isn't very high in added sugars, which may prematurely age the skin.

You can also get vitamin C from bell peppers, strawberries, tomatoes and broccoli.
