Walmart’s new holiday hours are now in effect!

The big box chain had previously announced that it would stay open for later for the holiday season, and those extended hours are finally here. The company has had COVID-19 restrictions on store hours throughout much of 2020, so this is huge.

"Starting November 14, Walmart stores and Neighborhood Markets will be open 7 AM to 11 PM until further notice," the company announced on October 23rd.

"This will give customers more time to shop and help us disperse traffic throughout the day. Stores with more reduced hours will keep current hours of operation." Amazing!

The company eased COVID-19 restrictions on store hours in August as well. The other pandemic-related store changes, such as weekly senior hours, will still continue now.

“As we continue reopening our operations, the health and safety of our associates, customers and communities will guide our decisions,” Walmart said in its statement, noting some stores could have shorter hours if "mandated by a government agency."

The company had previously announced that it would be closed on Thanksgiving, and that it would spread Black Friday over several days this year to help stop the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Walmart will still require masks at all locations, and stores will open at 5 a.m. on Black Friday, Nov. 27th. Safe shopping, y'all!
