While Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian are now one of the cutest and most talked-about celeb couples, there once was a time where the comedian had to shoot his shot with the reality star over text! Kardashian, 41, just revealed in the latest Kardashians episode that Davidson, 28, initially reached out to Kardashian’s friend Megan Fox, 36, asking for Kardashian’s number. This, she noted, was long before he and the Skims founder were an item. Fox’s response proves that she’s not only a great gal pal who looked out for Kardashian, but also hilarious in her own right.
Kardashian explained that after Davidson randomly asked Fox for her friend’s number, Fox wrote back 3 brutally funny messages. The first one read, “Dude, you have a better shot of me and MGK getting eaten by crocodiles than you ever getting her number.” And she didn’t stop there! Fox then added, “Never gonna happen,” before concluding, “do not ask us.” (LOL!)

While speaking about her relationship with the Saturday Night Live star on the new Hulu reality show centered around her family, the KKW Beauty mogul told fans exactly how she and Davidson did link up for the first time (and it wasn’t with Fox’s help, might we add!)
The mom of 4 told viewers that she felt a spark with Davidson in October 2021 after they were required to kiss as part of a SNL sketch while she was hosting. She adorably looked for him at the show afterparty but couldn’t find him. “Pete does not come to my afterparty,” she recalled. While Kardashian stressed that it seemed like everyone was at her afterparty, it felt like Davidson didn’t give her “the time of day.”

Undeterred, Kardashian sought out to get his number and make the first move herself. “So a few days later, I called the producer at SNL and I was like, ‘Hey, do you have Pete’s number?” she said, “And they were like, ‘yeah’ and I text him.” Kardashian also spilled that she wasn’t initially picturing a relationship with Davidson, and was more focused on her physical attraction to him. “I wasn’t even thinking, ‘oh my god, I’m gonna be in a relationship with him,'” she added, “I was just thinking, ‘heard about this BDE, need to get out there.’ I was basically DTF,” she noted with a laugh.
Now, Kardashian and Davidson continue to publicly display their love for each other and appear to be stronger than ever. This, as some fans wrote on Twitter, makes “thinking about the very beginning of their relationship” and the “twists and turns it took” to get here (like Fox’s witty and snarky texts) all the more comical.
