The birth certificate of Archie, Meghan’s and Harry’s son, was finally made public recently. Listed under mother was Rachel Meghan Markle and her job description as “Princess of the United Kingdom.”
Fans were confused about Meghan’s official title. Many thought she was only the Duchess of Sussex and not officially a princess. However, when she married Prince Harry, the Queen bestowed upon her the title of Princess and Duchess.
Meghan was born in Los Angeles, California in August of 1981. It’s clear when she officially dropped “Rachel.” In her professional acting career, she always used the name, Meghan. She starred for seven seasons on the USA Network show Suits. She completed work on the seventh season in late 2017 and married Prince Harry the following spring.
Meghan and Harry left their senior royal family member positions this past January and are now living in Los Angeles. As of now, Meghan is no longer a Princess but retains the title of the Duchess of Sussex. However, in L.A., she’s probably just going to go simply by Meghan.
