The 125 Best New Beauty Launches Of 2023

I love shapewear because it nips, tucks, and prevents embarrassing panty lines, and when I heard about ShaToBu, a new calorie burning shapewear, I had to give it a try.

ShaToBu body shapers have resistance bands placed on each thigh that are supposed to tone your muscles and burn up to 12% more calories as you move throughout the day. I wore the ShaToBu: High-Waist To Knee Calorie Burning Shaper ($60) for about six hours, and no, I didn’t lose any weight, but I did really like them. They were surprisingly light weight and stayed in place as I moved around, and although I didn’t detect any weight loss, I did feel some “resistance” happening on my thighs. They also have moisture wicking qualities that kept me cool and dry–a must during the summer months. So if you’re looking to makeover your body don’t rely on ShaToBu shapewear, but if you want really comfortable shapewear that burns a few extra calories, definitely try these out.
