People always ask me about my favorite beauty product. That’s a tough question to answer. I have so many favorites, but I have to say that nude eyeliner has been at the top of my list for quite some time now. I discovered this trick many years ago via Make Up For Ever‘s Concealer Pencil ($19). I remember reading somewhere that lining your bottom eyelid with a nude eye pencil makes your eyes appear bright and perky. So I decided to give it a whirl–and it just so happened to be on a day where I had a major hangover. Verdict: It worked wonders on my bloodshot, boozy eyes, and no one ever knew that I wanted to die. Trust me, the last thing you want to do is apply a dark colored liner to watery, red eyes. It will only make you look more hungover.
Fast forward to several years later–yep, still obsessed. I now refer to this product as the “hangover pencil.” And I’ve also found a new favorite from Tarte. It’s a bit softer than the Make Up For Ever pencil, so you don’t have to worry about poking your eye out if you have the shakes from guzzling Red Bull and Vodka from the night before.
