Why: Despite my best efforts to plan ahead, my mornings always seem to be a hectic whirlwind of makeup, clothes, and coffee. My progression from shower, to makeup, to blow-dryer — and finally — to closet, usually leaves me with less than two minutes to stuff the necessary papers in to my Rebecca Minkoff, accessorize, and run out the door. That is exactly why KimMarie Designs Jewelry has become my new obsession. The handcrafted line – replete with semi-precious stones such as turquoise, peridot, amber, and pearls consists of necklaces that can all be doubled, shortened, or worn lariat style by attaching different necklace 'drops', or 'swags' to change the look or color of the necklace. Now I simply throw on my pearl extension for day, and swap in my turquoise extension for drinks out with the girls at night. The necklace doesn't suit my entire range of accessorizing needs – after all, what woman could survive without her go-to cocktail ring? But it sure has made those days where I'm pressed for time a whole lot less stressful. I even got out the door this morning with 30 seconds to spare.
