My ultimate style icons happen to be Babe Paley and Jackie O, so you can imagine my excitement when Halston re-emerged onto the fashion scene this Fall with a new design director and a fresh new look. Although it was received with lukewarm reviews, this design house could do no wrong in my eyes. It's been around for decades and has outfitted some of the chicest women of our time. And to make things even better, Halston decided to team up with Net-A-Porter to offer their pieces for sale on the site the day after they debuted on the runway. Now if only I had the disposable income (or affluent better half) of the women I so adulate, I might be able to actually own some of these gorgeous threads. Ah well, until then I'll have to settle for the one vintage Halston blouse that hangs steadfast in my closet, of which I procured from a New York thrift store for $30 – the fashion gods were smiling on me that day.
