When I think of the Limited Brands, I don’t think of beauty products. Don’t get me wrong, one of my favorite fragrances of all time (now discontinued, as most of my favorites usually are) was courtesy of Victoria’s Secret, which is a Limited brand. But makeup is a whole different thing. So I wasn’t too disappointed when I tried Ready Lash Primer from Aura Science – another Limited brand – and it didn’t deliver. The very modern looking packaging seemed promising. The primer is supposed to makes lashes look longer and fuller, but I didn’t notice a difference. I fared much better with Reflect Double Shine Lip Gloss, which I tried in Silk Brown and Cranberry Red. They were pretty, sheer colors that weren’t too sticky. However, I wasn’t too hyped up about the miniature paddle that comes with the gloss instead of a brush. Although it is flexible, it only moves in one direction at a time, unlike bristles that can fan out to cover a slightly wider area. Instead, the paddle twisted on its side and actually scraped off some of the gloss I had just applied. So I resorted to patting it on. But, all in all, I dig the gloss. Find the gloss and primer exclusively at Victoria’s Secret.
