Winding down before bed is one of the hardest things to do, especially when it is so easy to get sucked into checking Instagram, binge watching your favorite Netflix show or even just thinking about all the things you have to do at work tomorrow. But believe it or not, relaxation can be easy and natural. Here are 3 calming drinks, perfect for relaxing you and helping you wind down before bed.
First, there’s tea infused with lemon and honey. Honey soothes your throat and lemon is backed with vitamin C and other antioxidants. It also calms the stomach. Whenever I’m feeling uneasy before bed this is my go-to. If you aren’t a fan of tea, feel free to just sip on hot water with lemon and honey instead.
Green tea is another one of the best wind-down drinks because it contains a natural relaxing agent called theanine. Green tea is the best if you need a quick fix to help with anxiety.
Finally, I know you’ve heard of this one, but you may have forgotten all about it: Chamomile tea. This option is basically synonymous with sleep. Making a hot cup of chamomile tea in a cute mug is the perfect drink to help calm down your body and sip on while you get ready for bed.
