It’s the most wonderful time of the year: the 2019 Pantone Colors are here, and now brides can officially pick their color schemes for the upcoming year.
The Pantone color is the very cheery Living Color, so you can expect to see that at weddings, but what are the other forecasted wedding trends that 2019 brides should consider? What about for the brides who shy away from bright, beachy colors–are there more subdued shades that are in? Of course!
We spoke to leading weddings experts to discover all the color combinations brides can chose from for the year. Without further ado:

Chrome & Silver
“Gold and rose gold have had a strong presence in not just wedding décor, but home décor, fashion, etc. as of late, but I definitely see chrome being the new “metal” color accessorizing events for 2019 and beyond,” W Austin wedding planner Kayla Dingman explains.
Photographer Kaitlin Cooper agrees. "Gold and rose gold are officially overplayed when it comes to being included in wedding color palettes. Instead, a metallic silver will be trending, and not just in the winter months. While it can pair perfectly with a deep burgundy during those chilly months, silver will also be seen in the summer alongside colors like slate blue, sage green, and berry pink."
Brian Worley of Bold Events in Atlanta Georgia agrees--especially when you choose bluish hues to pair. "Cobalt and sapphire will be strong on the color front. We will see blue in many shades mixed with both silver and gold to make statements."
Sunset Colors
"Sunset colors are already becoming popular, and this trend is sure to continue in 2019," Melody Williams, executive director at Vegas Weddings tells us. "Sunset colors include all shades of yellows, oranges, pinks, and purples. Couples want bright and eye-catching displays when it comes to floral, and these colors definitely pop. They also create a romantic look that can be tailored to any season - deep pinks and purples for winter and bright oranges and yellows for spring.
Spice Colors
"I like the spice rack colors right now," New York Weddings editor Jessica Silvester tells us. "We did a whole spread on turmeric-tinted invites in the most recent issue (turns out turmeric really is everywhere, not only in your wellness drinks but also your wedding colors). And in researching that story we also saw a whole spectrum of spices-- cayenne and ginger and paprika and sage, etc."
Similar to spice colors are rustic tones. "The deep wooden browns, greens, white, and blush pink makes for an enchanting and romantic ambiance," Thumbtack Wedding Planner Brianna Clark of Visionary Events tells us.
Living Coral
Pantone's color of the year is an obvious choice--and is also indicative of an industry-wide fatigue with neutrals. "The wedding color of the year for 2019 will be living coral, a bright vibrant pink and orange hue, as more and more couples want to incorporate color into their weddings, but are over the dusty pinks and mauves of 2018," Katelyn McCullough, co-founder of Elwynn + Cass tells us. "Pantone announced this as the color of the year, so couples will want to be up on the trend."
Detroit-based wedding floral designer Liz Mally confirms that bright colors will trump paler ones this year. "While whites, ivories, nudes and blushes are classic for weddings and will never go away, the industry is seeing some neutral fatigue."
Emerald Green & Deep Jewel Tones
"I am seeing that couples are wanting move to a sleeker look in contrast to the heavy greenery we have been seeing the past few years," Erin McLean owner and Creative Director at McLean Events tells us. "By adding a pop of garnet or sapphire it elevates the color palette."
