The country suffered a great loss after the passing of the famous civil rights activist Jesse Jackson, and although President Trump wasn’t there, three presidents who had Americans feeling nostalgic were.

The reverend’s funeral, which took place in Chicago earlier this week, had notable figures in attendance, including former presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and Joe Biden, who all sat together during the service. Seeing photographs of them, and not Trump, who was absent from the event, had numerous social media users reminiscing on the past and slamming the current administration. Read more about it below.

Former Presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, & Joe Biden Are Photographed Sitting Together At Jesse Jackson's Funeral

The nation has been mourning the loss of prominent civil and LGBTQ+ rights activist and reverend Jesse Jackson following his passing on February 17th. This week, a funeral and memorial service were held in Chicago, Illinois, given his close ties to the city.

The service drew big names in politics and human rights, and there were three notable figures in particular who sat together, three former democratic presidents, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and Joe Biden, at the service.

Although all three of the men took a moment to speak, Barack, a Chicago native, made a speech at the service, mentioning Jackson's presidential runs and how he paved the way for people of color like him. He also made subtle yet powerful digs at Donald Trump, stating, "We are living in a time when it can be hard to hope," and calling his policies "assaults on our democratic institutions."

In photos captured by the press, the three influential men can be seen standing and singing together.

Fans React To Seeing The Three Presidents Together & Slam President Trump

In addition to the three democrats making a mark by sitting together, it was especially impactful as people realized that the current president was absent from the service. White House officials told The Post he did not attend due to "scheduling and ongoing events."

However, many internet users speculated that the 79-year-old did not want to go to Jackson's service, or if he did, would not get the warmest welcome from the attendees. Still, seeing Obama, Clinton, and Biden there together caused many to reminisce on their presidencies and, in return, slam the Trump administration.

"I miss having a president with class and respect," wrote a user on Instagram.

"When we say 'Happy President's Day,' this is what we mean," added another.

"These are real presidents," wrote a user, as another commented, "It's not about Democrat or Republican, it's about class."

Though he did not attend the funeral, President Trump wrote on Truth Social that the famous activist was "a good man" and "a force of nature." Still, it looks like that response was not appropriate or good enough in the eyes of many Americans.
