It comes as no surprise: some of the apps on your phone are slowing down your iPhone and killing battery power. Has your phone been stalling more than usual? Freezing when it should be effortlessly calling up websites? The problem could be one or some apps that you have lingering on your phone that aren’t doing it (or your battery) any favors. Tech Expert Johan Alexander, CEO of APKCima, warns that these battery-sucking apps are the reasons your phone dies so quickly — and what to do about it.

Which Apps Slow Down Your iPhone?

When you’re trying to uncover which apps are the most battery reliant, look no further than resource-intensive apps. As far as apps are concerned, Alexander admits it has been noticed that sometimes apps tend to slow down devices are resource-intensive applications like social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, WhatsApp, WeChat, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, and more) and gaming apps ( e.g. PubG, Call of Duty, and more).

“As aforementioned apps are users friendly and provide high-quality pictures, videos, and graphics which ultimately become a primary cause to lower iPhone performance because such apps often consume significant system resources, such as CPU, memory, and network bandwidth,” Alexander says.

What can you do?

Don’t immediately pull the plug on these apps. “Deleting apps is not a good solution for iPhone users and deleting of apps pattern also depends from user to user,” Alexander says. Instead, he suggests trying the following:

Clear App Cache: This is the main factor that contributes a lot to becoming a phone slower, according to Alexander. “It usually happened when some apps accumulate cache over time, which ultimately can affect phone performance,” he says. “Users are advised to clear the cache regularly which can help to improve app responsiveness.”

Restrict Notifications: “Adjust notification settings for specific apps to reduce the frequency of push notifications, which can drain battery life and impact device performance,” Alexander recommends.

If you have no need for this particular app, by all means, delete away. But if you want to keep it and get your phone out of its slow rut, try these tips.
