Bella Monroe: Bella Hadid Wears A Blonde “Marilyn” Wig
Although she recently dyed her hair a honey blonde, a copper hue, and is well known for her sultry brunette hair, Hadid proved she could pull off the platinum blonde look, too.
Wearing a white mini tank top, the video shows the supermodel fixing her wig with some hairstyling spray. To complete her look, Hadid shows off her lightened brows and minimal makeup. As she turns to the camera, Hadid playfully says, “Alright I think I’m done. What do you think?” The similarities to Monroe were strong. One commenter even called the style icon, “Bella Monroe.”

Kim Kardashian’s Marilyn Monroe History
For the 2022 Met Gala, Kim Kardashian, 42, wore Monroe‘s iconic “Happy Birthday Mr. President” dress designed by Bob Mackie. Throughout her career, Kardashian has been, or tries to be, compared to the Gentlemen Prefer Blondes actress. She rented the gown that is estimated to be worth more than $5 million from Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum in Orlando, Florida. While the mother-of-four did not have to pay to rent the dress, she did promise to make two donations to organizations in the Orlando area on the museum’s behalf.
In preparation for her controversial debut in the world-famous gown, Kardashian lost 16 pounds in a month (wow!) and dyed her hair the Marilyn peroxide-blonde. After she walked the red carpet in the dress, with her beau at the time Pete Davidson, the reality star quickly slipped into a replica that fit was designed for her.
Even though she lost a lot of weight and only wore the dress for a short amount of time, collector Scott Fortner alleged the dress, which the late Monroe wore to sing to then-President John F. Kennedy in 1962, was severely damaged after Kardashian (who also recently had a hair transformation of her own!) wore the gown. On June 13, Fortner shared a photo he claims was taken after it was loaned to Kardashian. The dress appears to be missing crystals and seems to be tearing at the zipper. The Skims founder hasn’t commented on the alleged damage, yet.
