Last weekend, Billie Eilish performed as one of the headliners at the highly anticipated music festival, Governors Ball. However, the 19-year-old singer was less than pleased with the security team at the event, cutting off her own performance of her new hit song ‘Happier Than Ever’ to call out the security guards for, in her opinion, failing to do their job.

Halfway through the song, Eilish stopped singing to yell, “Security, why aren’t you paying attention?” At the time Eilish was sitting on a high perch and was able to spot a group which she pointed out to security for them to focus their attention to. “Like, for real,” Eilish continued, addressing security. “One job, please.”

Once she was finished, Eilish began singing again before stopping to then address the crowd. “Everybody good? Are you OK?” she asked. The crowd responded with loud cheers. A video of the exchange was recently posted to Twitter where fans sounded off on the exchange.

Some fans were pleased that Eilish stopped her performance, taking it as a sign that she truly cared for the safety of her fans. One person wrote, “Billie really care about security for her and everyone are there and then she came back to the song perfectly.”

However, others were divided and felt as though Eilish had an advantage seeing the crowd from a high place and was too harsh on the security at the venue. “Must be nice being able to see the entire crowd from up there. I imagine the security can’t see s**t,” another wrote.

Following the concert, Eilish took to Instagram to gush about the performance, calling it “one of my all time favorites,” alongside a video of the show with the singer jumping onstage and the crowd bouncing in time with her. Eilish is now preparing for her ‘Happier Than Ever’ world tour which has been postponed to kick off in 2022.
