Less than one month after breaking the news about her third pregnancy on her Instagram account, Britney Spears has just announced that she will actually be taking a break from the social media platform! On April 24th, the 40-year-old “Womanizer” hitmaker wrote: “I’m going on a social media hiatus for a little while.” She then added: “Send my love and God bless you all,” followed by two red heart and two rose emojis.
As expected, the post got a lot of love and support from fans, who understood why she wanted to take a break. “We’ll miss you,” one fan wrote, followed by the red heart emoji, adding, “Enjoy your pregnancy!!” Another fan said, “BB u do what U want to do. thats why we were with you for #freebritney – we love u.”

Another well-wisher added, “Take as much time off as u need,” followed by the red heart emoji and “Love u sm Britney.” Another supportive fan echoed this, writing, “Take some time for you!! I will miss your post.. but I’m happy you are living your best life.” However, less than 24 hours after announcing that she will be taking a “hiatus” Britney was back on the platform for a sort of encore, in order to share something that she said she “forgot” to post…
Alongside an old video of herself posing with her ‘Social Star of 2021’ People’s Choice Award, which she won back in December, the “Toxic” singer wrote: “Geez!!! I FORGOT to post this a while ago!!! Before I go on my Instagram hiatus I have to thank my rockin bad [expletive] amazing [expletive] fans for voting me PEOPLE’S CHOICE!!!” She added: “I think we all know my Instagram is definitely not up to the highest quality content but I think it’s pretty rad you guys voted silly me.”

The “Piece Of Me” singer and 28-year-old husband Sam Asghari are expecting their first child together, and Britney’s third overall, as she shares sons Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Sam told Mario Lopez on Access Hollywood earlier this week that finding out the sex of the baby was “up to Britney,” before saying that he personally doesn’t want to find out. “It’s something that I want to wait for,” he added, before saying he wants to be “hands-on as much as possible,” in terms of parenting the child, adding, “This is my baby, my first baby so it’s so exciting for me.” Congratulations once again to Britney and Sam!
