The couple, who wed last year in an intimate California ceremony, have just confirmed the exciting news via Katherine’s mother, journalist Maria Shriver.

While Chris shares 7-year-old Jack with ex Ana Faris, this will be the first child for Katherine.
"I'm really proud of her," Maria told Entertainment Tonight. "Obviously, she and Chris are super happy, so I feel like I won the lottery for Mother’s Day." Indeed!
For his part, Chris has never been shy about his desire to have tons of kids with his new bride. When asked what his “perfect future” looked like in an interview last year, the superstar replied, “The future? Oh, lots of kids.” Well, it looks like they've already started!

And is Maria as excited about being called "grandma" as Chris is about expanding his brood?
"I'm not embracing that name exactly," she told son Patrick Schwarzenegger, with whom she's quarantining. "I'm gonna come up with my own name." Well, she's got plenty of time to figure that out!
