It's hard not to love all things Disney. I mean, there's a reason Disney World is deemed the happiest place on Earth. So, it makes sense why so many couples want to channel this theme for their weddings. But, there are certain mistakes you should avoid if you truly want a Mickey Mouse-approved wedding celebration.

Not hiring a wedding planner. Since you have such a specific theme in mind, it's probably in your best interest to splurge on a wedding planner to make all your Disney dreams come true. Some wedding planners have probably worked with Disney themes before, so make sure you do your research and choose one who truly understands your vision. Disney even has a Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons department specifically for these weddings.

Thinking you have to have the wedding at Disney World. Disney Land or Disney World might seem like the most obvious wedding venues for Disney-obsessed couples, but don't feel like you absolutely need to venture to the Magic Kingdom to tie the knot in Disney style. Hosting your wedding at Disney might turn into more of a destination wedding, which puts more financial and time strains on your guests.

Not having enough Disney decor. If you aren't venturing to Disney for your wedding, bring Disney to you. Obviously, you need Disney-themed decorations for your wedding venue, but you want to incorporate a lot to really convey the theme to its fullest potential.

Having too specific of a dress style in mind. You definitely want to look the part of a true Disney princess in your wedding dress, but that doesn't mean you have to copy Belle or Cinderalla exactly. In fact, being too close minded can make dress shopping extremely difficult, especially if you only have your heart set on one specific style. Don't forget—there are a lot of different princesses with varieties of fashion tastes, so don't limit yourself to just one.

Not using Disney's wedding stationary shop. Your wedding invitations will give your guests a sneak peek of the Disney-related festivities to come. There's no better resource for your invites than Disney's invitation shop, with a style embodying each princess.

Not thinking you can have a grown-up Disney wedding. Disney themes might encourage you to bring out your inner child, but don't worry about your wedding coming off as immature. You can still have an incredibly adult and tasteful Disney-inspired celebration.
