Gwyneth Paltrow‘s ex-husband Chris Martin may be grabbing headlines right now after exposing *that* Astronomer affair at a Coldplay concert (IYKYK) but she is also garnering a lot of attention due to some of the bombshells that were dropped in Gwyneth: The Biography by Amy Odell.
There are many revelations in the new bombshell biography, but one thing that has really sparked the internet’s interest and has caused backlash involved her former relationship with Brad Pitt. Keep reading to find out more…
Gwyneth Paltrow Previously Reflected On Her Relationship With Brad Pitt
The 52-year-old Goop founder dated the 61-year-old Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood actor back in 1994 after meeting at an audition for Legends of the Fall, with the pair even getting engaged! They called their engagement off in 1997, after, according to the book, Gwyneth started to question her relationship with the actor while filming the Jane Austen adaptation Emma in 1996.
The mom-of-two, who won an Oscar back in 1999 for Shakespeare in Love, reportedly confided in one of the Emma crew members and told them that she wasn't sure about her relationship with Pitt, confessing that she actually was starting to have feelings for Hugh Grant instead. Grant was in a relationship with actress Elizabeth Hurley at the time, for what it's worth.

According to an excerpt from the biography obtained by People, Paltrow reflected on the moment in an interview and suggested the Four Weddings and a Funeral actor may have been better suited for her background. She allegedly had to "educate" Pitt on a lot of things during their relationship – caviar being one of them!
The father-of-six was raised in Missouri by his father William Alvin Pitt, a truck company manager, and mother Jane Etta Hillhouse, a school counsellor. And he had a very different upbringing from Paltrow, whose father was film producer Bruce Paltrow and mother is actress Blythe Danner.
She reportedly once said: "Brad and I had very different upbringings. So when we go to restaurants and order caviar, I have to say to Brad, 'This is beluga and this is ossetra.'"

Internet Reactions
As expected, the internet didn't take too kindly to the caviar comment, with many slamming the actress for being "classist" and "insufferable," among other things.
"Classic classist snob with no taste, no humor. Please educate us more on the differences between caviar and keep preaching about how to not eat," slammed one person on Reddit, as a second simply called her "insufferable."
"I'm so mad she made me momentarily feel bad for Brad Pitt," quipped a third, as a fourth echoed: "Ikr?! Like how do you manage to tell a story so out of touch you make people feel sorry for Brad Pitt?" A fifth exclaimed: "Leave it to Gweny girl to make you side with Brad Pitt" "That's actually very cruel as well. I can't imagine how that must have felt for Pitt," thought a sixth, as a seventh said: "She is genuinely vile."
An eighth Reddit user had a slightly different view, and said: "I want to hate her but most of this is so out of touch that it's actually funny rather than offensive." "Same, she's like a sitcom character," agreed a ninth, while a tenth said: "The more ridiculous she is, the more I love her. I prefer it when celebs embrace how absurd they are instead of doing the 'I'm so relatable' bit."
